Algore won a part ownership of a Nobel prize. Thats being plastered all over the media, as it should be.
Here's my two pounds of carbon footprint on the matter:
My first thought was..... Old man Nobel must be up to about five hundred RPM in his grave. Any reading of his will thats reasonable shows this award to be five bricks short of a stack. The idea that Algores self serving political farce movie, backed up by his self serving highly polluting political life style, has anything to do with world peace is just.... nuts.
My second thought.... was a memory. Long ago, working as a tech, I made it through GM training. I made it to the level where I was tested and came away a GM certified master technician. To be honest, I thought I was hot crap on a bun... the biggest swinging wrench that walked the earth.
I thought so for about a week..... till I learned our dealership's service writer had tested the same day and made 'certified technician'.
The man could not change a tire without frying the vehicle computer and losing two fingers in the process.
His achieving the 'certification' took mine and turning it into utter bupkis. I tossed the laser engraved wooden memorial plaque in the trash and used the certificate as a coffee coaster on my tool box. Mine was worthless because he had his, and he was an idiot.
I know what the other Nobel prize winners must be feeling right now, since Algore got his 1/2 a prize.
Sad.... very sad....I feel sorry for them.
