These people are the future? Uh Oh........

Sometimes we run into situations that force thoughtfulness.

I avoid them, as they cause headaches, but the universe still shoves them right in front of me. Sigh.....

The woman who puts up with me, our youngest son, and I stopped in at the KFC in Ephrata, Pennsylvania a few days ago. Wifey just wanted some mashed potatoes for lunch, and making her happy is a worthwhile exercise. It always pays off.

As we got in line, the universe tossed one of those situation at me.... and I pulled out my camera in order to share here with my loyal readers.... reader..... Ok, to share just in case I ever get a reader.

We were the last three in a line of six people. There were cars in the drive thru line as well.

The young people manning the store seemed to think customers are a minor nuisance to be avoided if possible, and stayed gathered around their newspaper. Looking for new jobs perhaps? Chicken frying and customer waiting resumed when I was observed taking this photo.

These teenagers are the future of the world..... Or not. Should I be surprised at this level of dedication and work ethic? Somewhere down the line, in this picture, there is a long string of failures. I think..... but am I wrong?

Is this picture acceptable? Only my wife and I thought this was a situation lacking in something.... everyone else there just shuffled along like it was normal.
I sent the photo and description to KFC, asking if this was a normal situation we should expect at their store. No response at all... not a word. I guess it's normal if it's not even worth a comment from the company.

I have got to have a discussion with Mr. Universe.... enough of these quandaries!

I totally shouldn't laugh, because that's really not funny, but that was my first reaction.

Laugh or cry, it just proves we are alive.

Now the kids staffing this KFC....
barely breathing, and no 02 reaching above the neck.
