Big 'ol HINT

Friends..... here's whats called a clue.

When you are staying with friends on a bitterly cold winters night, and decide to close your bedroom door to cut down the visits from the dog while you sleep....

There is a certain value to first checking to see if the bloody heat vent is open in the room!

BRRRRRRR.

My bedroom has just one vent, and with a large room with 30 foot ceilings, it's not enough when it dips into the minus temperatures if I turn the main house heat down to 68. So for those nights, I have no choice but to leave the double doors open. Black stealth Yogi is usually up on the bed by midnight, thinking that I won't notice a 105 pound furball fighting me for the Pendleton.

One time I went home on leave for Christmas, and we had other house guests.

So I got to sleep downstairs, in the unheated basement.

Did I mention that this was in Alaska, in a town that averages 32 feet of snow per year.

sleeping was fine, with all the blankets and comforters, but getting out of bed in the morning took some fortitude...
