Oh bloody hell...

Bad afternoon at the ranch..
She showed up at school... luckily after the students left.
Blocked my vehicle in.... and I had 911 called before she got out of the car.
I took a few smacks as she tried to grab the phone... endured a lot of yelling
till the police arrived a few minutes later.... and they got her in a car.
Irrational as hell.

Now I need to talk with admin tomorrow and bring them up to speed.
One of the officers will as well.... he knows the principle .....
We'll have to make plans in case she does it again during the school day.

Lucky for me... my partner was there, and watched from a distance.
He saw it all, and knowing him will have notes written before the evening
is out. He actually counted how many times she hit me....

Bloody damn stupid way to spend an afternoon.

not to be "worst case scenario girl" but do you have concealed carry?

(I hate asking this, by the way)

I know Breda... It's a thought that's very hard to deal with. This is the mother of my children we are talking about.

Yes, I have a CCW, and stay current on skills. The problem with that is two-fold....

I am a school instructor in a public school. Also called a 'self defense free' zone. I cannot legally have a firearm on school property without written permission from the director (not happening in this lifetime).

Second.... while I would not hesitate given the average criminal, this is not such a case. The moral depth here is fathoms deeper. I've spent most of my adult life prepared to TAKE one rather than let her get hurt....
Not so easy to reverse gears.

I'm doing my best not to get cornered in an uncontrolled situation. The police response yesterday afternoon was pretty quick, but if weapons were involved they would been just in time to maybe write up a report and make chalk outlines.

Not an easy issue.

what a horrible thing to have to think about - I'm really sorry.

But we hear all the time about estranged husbands harming their spouses, right? No reason it can't go the other way.

Be careful.
