Well, the photo shows the results. The class did not meet the challenge, no matter my cajoling, Another class took top spot, as I would not allow 'my' donation to be counted as theirs, as they could not even match it.
On the bright side, a truck load of food was collected school wide, and delivered to the mission rescue. I understand they were shocked, excited, and grateful as they have been getting bag fulls and no more.
To the wonderful folks here who donated money, I put it to good use and it was included in those hundreds of cans. I'll share this.... I bought only good food that I'd feed my own family, not dented, out of date, or cases of ramen noodles.
You folks here who pitched in.... upheld my faith in humanity.... and I appreciate that more than I can say.
