I ain't dead yet!
Still alive and kicking....
Just buried in paper and such.
Today and tomorrow I am finishing the training to
be an evaluation team leader for NATEF.
They are the certifying body for technical education programs.
A few years ago my own program went through a re-evaluation and I came
to understand the ETL's were in short supply.
I did something blindingly stupid.... I volunteered to be one.
It takes some training and shadow sessions, but after this on-site I'll be
an ETL for NATEF. That means I will occasionally be called upon
to run certification evaluations for other schools.
This is not as fun as it sounds. An example: Today I pushed four tables
together to hold the mound of paperwork, and tomorrow it gets bigger
before we are done.
Ug.

Congratuations. . they made a good choice.
Ywern't much of a choice. They flew our ETL in from Georgia. That was because he was the NEAREST one to PA who was willing.....
I get to be one because no one else will. Truth is it will be an extra load on top of school stuff, and thats why no one really wants the job.
