What a week!

What is today? .... Monday part three... or what?
Seems like there are 143 work hours shoved into this week, all of them
in the category known as 'interesting'. Late tonight, late tomorrow.....
Twelve or fourteen hour days. Someone with a tie asked me today, so I
added up. I do an average of ten days a month at fourteen hours.
Yes, two weeks a month working more than half the hours in each day.
Yup... teachers got it easy..... sure..... RIiiiight...... (g)

But, that's okay. See.... I'm taking the whole weekend off. In fact, I'm taking
more than a weekend off. Adding a day or so to each end.
No papers due, no reports, no grades, no moving things, no confrontations.
It's time for a long ride. Peaceful, quiet, thoughtful, and long......

I'll probably freeze my cell phone in a block of ice and leave it in a cooler.
Vivaldi and Tull on the CD player. Next stop..... wherever I please.
Oh, look at the squirrel! Time for a break...

Go West old man.....

I expect to, and intend to, smile more often. I might, just might, actually grin
a few times. Since I'll be alone in the truck, I might sing a few verses.
I'll probably wave at a cow along the way, just to be friendly. Don't tell anyone.

Yes, they will be plenty of problems still here when I get back... I know that.
It's all good. I'm a rock. I can deal with it.

This weekend.... is my celebration of life. My declaration of a future worth living for. I'm so excited... like a kid at Christmas! My present, and future, are waiting for me. I can't wait to unwrap it.

Oh.... probably shouldn't have to mention this...... I won't be posting for a few days.
(insert really big, happy, grin right here.......). (Ooops... scared a few students).

Now, that is some good news, right there!
To think of you having free time for several days and waving at cows... good on ya!

To make up for your absence here, however, it would only be fair to have a few stunning photos to share when you get back :-)
